OK NILS here's the deal.
Set up your EMS using the same basic principles as with any ISO 9000 system..bring your elements into balance with each other by checking and cross checking....
You need to obtain a copy of the ISO 14001-1996 standard "Environmental management systems-Specification with guidance for use"
In the back of the standard in Annex "B" are charts (Table B-1 Correspondence between ISO 14001 and ISO 9001)& (Table B-2 Correspondence between ISO 9001 and ISO 14001).
Utilize these charts to harmonize your programs.
