There is a fairly strong argument to be made for globally harmonized standards. That is the direction the world is moving in. Even the United States UL standards are being phased out in favor of harmonized standards with a local addendum.

Why isn't SAC adopting globally harmonized standards as Guobiao?

It seems like these efforts just hurt Chinese exports, as GB standards are generally not recognized outside China.

Trade protection might be a reason why SCA not adopting globally harmonized standard as Guo Biao (China GB standard), but there is another important reason behind this, I put face mask as example, different country has different people, EU people face size is totally different with Asia people face size, that means, face mask standard must need to have some different in the requirement of Fitting Test.
