Concentricity is Out of Specification

Hye all

I've done dialling too.and i've came up to a conclusion that nothing is wrong with the setting as ive done wat can b done to controll concentricity.Im glad that i learned a few things just in one day.I cud use it in the future.As for the jig,ive sent it to the qc dept,still waiting for the report.Will post the reports here as soon as i get it.Thanx to every1 who helped me out.I appreciate it a lot.And since im a newbie.I will b coming up with more problems here i guess.Haha.

As for the cause of the problem: Never mind where it originated: The main focus must always be to find it, get rid of it, and learn something in the process: This is why I suggested enlisting help from QC.

Yes.i did tell them from the starting that the problem is with the jig as it started after position of 3 holes were changed to modify the jig.As soon as i got the jig back and started running the machines for test cuts,we realised the problem.When i told the jig maker that there is problem with the jig,he told me im a newbie and i dont know how 2 set up the machine.And thankfully with the help and tips i got from here.i manage to prove that the problem is with the jig,afterall

Aha, again. I know the feeling. Been there, done that. Ok, newbies are prone to making mistakes, but the fact is that they quite often reveal old problems too:

They watch things with fresh eyes and usually follow procedures (thereby exposing poorly updated instructions), and generally question things. The lesson here is: Listen to your newbies - It can pay off.

And thankfully with the help and tips i got from here.i manage to prove that the problem is with the jig,afterall

And next time maybe the jig maker will listen to you (just remember not to rub it in, and I expect that you will cooperate well in the future) . Well done.

We would like to see the report from QC. You are most welcome post all your problems here and the covers will try their best to provide you the solutions. The motto of the cove is 'To help each other'.

Do not worry if the seniors are not listening to a newbie. Have patience, follow your line of action and do not be discouraged since every body was a newbee in the beginning. Once or twice when you are able to prove you are right, they will change their stance and will pay heed to your suggestions.

Am just wondering.Since the it was out by 0.30 earlier,can i change the machine parameter for x axis by 0.15 and controll the concentricity?is that possible?am just curious.

Finally they did pay heed to your judgement, and your achievement of bringing down the outness from 0.3mm to 0.004mm is laudable.

Since you have achieved the required concentricity, IMO you should not disturb any setting.
