Confidence Interval on Normal Probability Plot

Hello,

does anyone knows how the lower and upper bounds of the 95% confidence intervall can be calculated by hand? (see attachment)

Check post number 4 in this Talk-Stats thread: Probability plot: calculating the confidence interval.

I would also recommend using Minitab's help function. Open the menu for the probability plot and select Help. When the Help menu opens, select the See Also link at the top. There is a link called something similar to Formulas and Equations. I cannot guarantee that you will find it there, but in most cases you will find it.

I just checked Minitab's Help for this question. Unfortunately, this is one of those times that it did not include the formula. However, it did state that Minitab individually calculates the confidence interval for each point on the probability plot. It then draws a curved line through the end points of these confidence intervals.
