I think you missed a “not” there.

As for your question, nobody here speaks for The Cove. However the moderators team ensure the ToS is abided by; and that means NO SPAMMING ALLOWED. People cannot try to use this space to promote, market or peddle their services or material without first and consistently engaging in discussions.

Correct. Missed a "not".

No confusion about spamming (not being allowed) and other standard types of misuse. More than that, having run communities myself, wish to not mess with integrity of the forum.

The ToS requires your permission. Thats why asked. You could point me to folks from The Cove who can give me conditional permissions. I can write to them

That is Sidney and the other admins/moderators. You can find them in the members tab. I would not approve any ‘conditional’ permission.

Understood. I couldnt find a way to DM. Thats why wrote on this thread.

By conditional, I mean - can I read the rss feeds? (readonly activity, infrequently)

I would not know where to begin in creating or accessing RSS feeds. I just check in to see what's new, also to review Unanswered threads for something that is aging.

I looked up the forum software (XenForo). Limited RSS feeds are already available by default. You can add index.rss at the end of the URL

For example:

elsmar.com/elsmarqualityforum/forums/human-factors-and-ergonomics-in-engineering.120/index.rss

If this doesnt work for some reason, I can look at the html.

My goal is to study regulatory issues pointed out by the users.

What industry are you looking to find regulatory information? Safety? Environmental? Automotive? Medical device? Aerospace? Oil and Gas? We have forums for these categories. If you click on the forum title link in the list and open it there is a Watch button that can help you set up notifications for new posts.

That said, if you are looking for information involving legal requirements for a given subject in XYZ location this is not the place for it. We routinely advice Covers to seek legal counsel for detailed regulatory-related questions.

Nothing is to be done by you - no software or configuration changes. The forum software already supports the index.rss by default. I tested it.

I am looking at medical devices, patient safety, and environment initially. I want to look at the posts and analyze them for regulatory aspects.

I am just looking for permission to let me access the index.rss programmatically. Just an 'ok' would do.
