Hello Covers,
I had reason to strip down my home rolled Continual Improvement, Preventive Action and Corrective Action (Measure) database per request. I thought I would share it with all my friends at Elsmar Cove.
Hopefully, when you open it up it will be self-explanatory. There are a few things you need to know:
Requires Microsoft Access 2007. Rename the extension from .mdb to .accdb. Elsmar upload filters do not recognize the .accdb extension.
The first entries are "seeds" for the automatic "Initiative Numbering System" that creates a unique number for each entry. Don't delete them or the numbering system won't work. They are samples that list what goes in each entry box. You can print them as "blank forms" for your system documentation.
If you mistakenly click on a "Create New..." button, do not enter a date below the Log # and exit the form. Access will not save the record without this date.
Entering a date in the "Date Implemented" field in the "Actions Taken" section will move the record from "Open" to "Closed" for the purposes of the "View/Edit Open..." and "Preview Open..." buttons.
Enjoy!
