Control Plans - Is it acceptable to put n/a's on a Control Plan where data is taken?

Control Plans

Concerning Control Plans, would it be acceptable to put n/a's on a Control Plan? Say for instance, the Control Plans calls for a visual check at a certain frequency, under the colum that would list the method of recording the data, could you legally put n/a, meaning that data is not required? This would be an ISO system.

You say this would be an ISO system, are you using an AIAG type control plan format?

In any case, how would you verify (prove) that the visual inspection occured?
