Correlation between OEE and FMEA

Hi, Everyone.

There is some correlation between OEE and FMEA? Mainly regarding to occurrence. How I can use this to determine the occurrence?

while some defects will effect OEE calculations not all will. OEE is not in the same units as defect rate so there is no real direct correlation.
what kind of FMEA are you trying to do? if it is only machine fmea then there is a more direct effect of failure/defect on the OEE calculation than there is if it is a general process or product fmea.

in genreal the occurence rate can only be known through actual testing. if the thing is new then occurence is only a guess (opinion) until at least validation is completed. if the thing is not new then past performance of may be of use in determining occurence.

I understand you. In this case is a process Fmea.

My question is due the one answer for the last audit that I participated. The auditor made a correlation with the real occurrence of process and occurrence on Fmea.
He was until the factory and told some pieces with one determinate fail, and after this he took the total amount of the production sheet, he calculated the PPM and spoke that the Fmea must have reflected the same occurrence of process. I received a non-compliance for this. Until today we not have one solving for this problem.

I believe that I can to use the data of the OEE (amount of defects), for try give an answer in the next assessment on 29th december. Please, I need you help.
