Hi,
Please shed some light:
We have a process map which was created during the implementation in our organization of the iso 9001:2000 Quality system. We think this process map is complete and is OK. At present we are trying to implement a model similar to Malcom Baldridge (Mexican model). We think we have many activities to cover most of the requirements of this model, but we find no correspondence between the criteria of the model and our processes in the process map. Most of our activities that cover requirimients of the Baldrige-alike model are immersed in some of our processes, and our major processes are not an important part in the Baldridge-alike model.
I have two questions:
1) At what degree it is expected to have a correspondence between the Baldridge criteria and the processes established in the organization?.
And
2) Is it desirable to have such correspondence?
For us, it would be necessary to reorganize and create a complete new proccess map to match the criteria. That would lead us to processes with very few activities (eg. social responsability) to be at the same level that our production processes, just to have 1:1 mapping to the baldridge-alike model, but we are not sure if that be worth the effort.
Thanks so much!.
