Hello,
I am developing a medical device at which an USB key can be connected. I read the thread "USB Port (Signal I/O) Isolation as per IEC60601-1 - Medical Device" that contains a lot about USB isolation but it treats only the signal lines isolation.
I would like to know if someone has a cost-effective solution for isolating the USB 5V 500mA power provided by the medical device to the USB key connected to it.
A solution could be Analog Devices ADUM5000 isolated DC/DC converter but it can only supply 100mA which is not sufficient for all kind of USB keys.
Thank you.
Regards,
Johann
