Count (Bolts and Nuts) Scale - Class of Calibration Weights

I have a count scale (20Kgms) on the warehouse to count bolts and nuts and i like to verify in a daily basis I like to buy a test weights for it. My idea is to buy 5kgms (2) and 10Kgm (1) to seta a 5-10-15 and 20 verification, I don’t know what is the right class of tests weight that I need to buy the supplier suggest class F but I’m not an expert, I appreciate any suggestion.

Class F should be OK. It's the class generally used in commercial applications such as yours.

Just make sure that the total uncertainty on the weights you are wanting to purchase is significantly smaller than the tolerance required for the scales. So it's kind of assuming that Class F will work; I agree with Jim in that they should be fine.

I might also consider getting 4- 5kg weights instead of the 10 kg weight. It's easier to manage and not so heavy to pick up. Also, if you need to stack them, make sure you get the kind that are easily stackable.

Even with Class F weights, I would consider having people use gloves and work to keep them clean. It would surprise you how much dirt and gunk can build up on the weights.
