Critical Supplier's Senior Management Changes

Hi all,

We have been informed by one of our critical suppliers that their CEO has changed. This supplier is responsible for manufacturing, packing and sterilisation of our product.
As this is one of the key parts for our business, should we do anything to confirm that he company is going to continue as before or do we leave it as they are still certified to do the work requested?
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am in a new role with a 13485/FDA company and want to make a good impression!

While it is their internal top management change, their information to all customers can be perhaps as a courtesy information, and supply chain transparency.
You however need to check out with them, what this means to their company and to the business line you have with them.

It might make sense for management of your company to schedule an on-site visit with your supplier to discuss the impact of the change at CEO. Most likely your supplier will want to convince you that things either won't change or there will be positive changes coming. If they are not willing to discuss this and welcome you then I would be concerned, but I doubt that is the case....

A twist that may come up...

They are a critical supplier for you.
....But are you a critical customer for them?

You needing them does not often equate to them needing you.

This may help steer your course and what level of action you ask for.
Keep in mind that anything you ask for from them costs them money...spend their money wisely and carefully...and in accordance to your value to them.
