Is he asking, "Is it required or should we have our Customer Quality Obejectives documented in our QMS?"

Think of customer quality objectives as "customer requirements", put them in the system.

Just as a thought, too many of us think of "ISO" as the customer. Our true customers pay our salaries, not ISO.

Yeah, I know what you mean. My boss (highest rank in my company) thinks our quality objetives must be related with low production costs, improement sales, incomings for new products, etc.

I fully agree with him, but as 9001 standard is customer related I thought it was mandadory to have documented a customer quality objetive.

My question fits more with chapter 7.1. a)

I'm wondering if Im understanding things more complicated than they are.

Anyone willing to let me take a view over a Quality Objetives Document in your company?

Thanks

How can it hurt to include such an objective? I mean, why not include it? Quality applies to everything....as a minimum, it means meeting the requirements. The Customer has requirements, right?

Besids, to make your system succeed and be truly sustainable, it should evolve from a quality focus to a business focus. And if you don't consider your Customers at that level, you won't be in business for long. :)
