Customer Signature / Acceptance Service Reports

We are the service side of our medical device business. We install and service our equipment. Are we required to obtain the customer's signature on completed service reports?

I'm not familiar with your area of business, but a signature on the service report would provide confirmation of service if the customer ever tries to say things were not done.
