Database for monitoring NDT Personnel

Good day!

I was curious if any of you in the NDT realm have a database template for monitoring NDT personnel (certs, eye exams, training, etc)? I am familiar with NDT Office 2.0 and this would be perfect but @ $2500 I believe it to be more of an investment than I would need for a small group of 30-40 people. If any of you have an idea I would appreciate it. Have a great day!

Hello ndtqc,

I regret to say I do not have a snappy database for training requirements for NDT personnel. Given the lack of a defined database, I can imagine a matrix approach to charting due dates and completions requirements for a given competency. A matrix could capture the staged levels of required qualifications; if Excel is used, you can enter specifics into cells as embedded comments and maintain control by limiting editing privileges to a defined few defined responsible persons.

I have decided to start from the ground up and make the Access Database that I am wanting. I have a basic skeleton in place already but I am working on the details. I am shocked that there really are no databases except for NDT Office 2.0 available. Once I complete this I will certainly share it with those who are interested.

Hi ndtqc,

I know this is an old thread but I don't suppose you could share the NDT Database you were working on at all? It's exactly what I'm looking for.
