According to our certifying body, we need to demonstrate 12 months performance data for TS certification. Can you provide me input for what are
the 12 months "mandatory" performance data. I'm sure we have already implemented some but not all.

This is the ruling
Less than 12 months Performance Data

Question: How can a Site working towards ISO/TS 16949:2002 show 12 months performance data?

Answer: For an established facility the last 12 months performance data should be provided against the products in production and the QMS being used.

Note: In the case of a new facility the audit should be conducted once ISO/TS 16949:2002 QMS compliance is established the Certification Body is permitted to issue a letter of conformance. After 12 months production, when performance data is verified, the Certification process can proceed.

Thank you for the quick reply.

From the IATF Guidance to ISO/TS 16949:2002, I got the following 12 months performance data requirement.

a. Key indicators trends (last 12 months)
- customer satisfaction
- employee motivation or awareness
- product realization process
- suppliers performances
b. Internal Audit results and action plan (last 12 months)
c. Management review results (last 12 months)

Are there more?

Thanks. Most of the 12 months performance data requirement are direct except for product realization process which could cascade to other requirements. I think I should focus in this area.

Hi Howard,
We are an ISO9001-certified manufacturer that has had automotive customers for many years. It was my understanding that there must be evidence of a system (not necessarily conforming to TS 16949) in place for at least a year. This must include management reviews, internal audits, process measurements, etc. And as long as this was in place, TS16949 certification could be achieved.

Is this not the case?... I tried to follow your link above, but it did not work.
