Definition Design Responsible - Good Definition in the context of AS 9100

Hi Cove friends,

We had a meeting today to discuss if we want to exclude 7.3 from our scope for AS9100 certification. The first thing I asked is if we understand what "Design Responsible" is? After long discussion and opinions, we're all confused now as to what we really do. Can anyone give a good definition of what "Design Responsible" really is please?

With regards to definitions, there are some good discussions in the similar discussion box below the page. The alternative is to discuss with your CB - they know your system better than any others.
