Yes, I agree. If nothing else, at least we have learned that much. Besides, many
animals are smarter than the all but too common picture of our prehistoric ancestors as grunting violent imbecils. I just don't believe in that picture: They had the very same mark 1.0 brains we are using today, and it was a lot better adapted to the requirements back then than it is today. The only difference is that we are using a stone age design in a high tech world...
The difficult part is opening our minds to the fact that we could be wrong and in 5 years opening our minds again.
Again, I agree: Our own minds are the toughest obstacle in that respect.
Interesting article. I have seen pictures of the artwork in France but have never really thought about them.
I have. I have never been there, but I have been watching those pictures over and over again, wondering about them. As Marc already knows, I am very interested in prehistory.
