Its so cheap at Bureau of Indian Standards - less than Rs 500
Yes, it's very cheap and indeed I purchased a copy of ISO 9001:2008 from the BIS, New Delhi, just for Rs. 360 (approx. 7.5 US$) yet I raised the question so that, after knowing the facts, I don't make a mistake of violating (if it's deemed so) any copyright laws in future. This will also enable me to properly guide any innocent guy.

If you re-type the whole Std - I suggest it would be cheaper to simply purchase.
There are even simpler ways to avoid typing lengthy texts. Simply scan a document using 'Microsoft Office Document Imaging' (normally bundled with MS Office package) or any other similar software that can perform OCR (Optical Character Recognition) to directly convert a scanned document into an editable format such as MS Word, Excel spreadsheet etc. You can even scan and effortlessly convert large volumes of books into editable formats. Yet I believe it's cheaper to purchase (atleast, in India).
Thanks.
