Do you like hot sauce? If so, have you tried this one?

They rate "hot" based on the Scoville scale.

Check out this page. It includes sauces such as "Crazy Jerry's Brain Damage Sauce" and "Colon Blow Hot Sauce". MMMMM.....just what the doctor ordered. :mg:

It has a hot sauce rated at 1 million scoville units. Wikipedia reference-linkScoville_scale is defined as:

"The Scoville scale is a measure of the "hotness," or more correctly, piquancy, of a chili pepper. These fruits of the Capsicum genus contain capsaicin, a chemical compound which stimulates thermoreceptor nerve endings in the skin, especially the mucus membranes. The number of Scoville heat units (SHU) indicates the amount of capsaicin present. Many hot sauces use their Scoville rating in advertising as a selling point. The scale is named after its creator, American chemist Wilbur Scoville."

I like some heat in my food, but "hot" just for the sake of being "hot" isn't for me. I actually like my tastebuds.

I love hot sauce, but I'm past the age of trying to torture myself with extreme sauces. :truce:

Major hot sauce fan. My boss has been somewhere south on vacation twice since I started here, and as a souvenir he brings me hot sauce, this time 7 bottles...

I tend to prefer the generic Franks or Texas Pete, but I've had plenty of off-the-wall named ones, the latest has a black fabric cape & plastic skull over the lid (not a good sign). Can't remember the name.

I like hot sauces and hot food in general. Would you believe this: I'm growing my own chili here at work. I have a few pots in the window, and I sometimes eat them straight from the plant. A new coworker once saw me do this and asked for a sample.

Honestly: I did warn him him that it was a bit on the hot side, but he still chewed one down...:notme:

He kept a pretty straight face, I'll give him that, but events seem to indicate that this didn't last: A few minutes later a girl from his dep came over, looked me sternly in the eye and told me that I was not supposed to break our new employees. I'm waiting to hear from our H&S engineer next.. :naughty:

Claes, these plants you have growing in your window ....... they are chillies aren't they? I mean, they couldn't be something else to get you through the day could they? :magic:

Never had that brand of hotsauce myself. :(

Personally I put "alot" (I'm told) of Tabasco sauce on anything I eat its a universal condiment, fries, pizza, meats, sea food, fish, it can go on just about anything! :cool:

Franks Red Hot, Louisiana Hot sauce and other sauces are all good. :)
