I agree that it is best to concern yourself with weightier matters. A statement from management saying both logos are legal allows you to make the logo change when updating the docs for more important changes.
Also, one concern I always have about making undocumented changes is that someone may end up with a copy of the pre-change version and the post-change version at the same time. If both copies say "Rev C" but they look different they may question which version is the latest. Customers may even question the integrity of your controls.
If you have a document that you change only the logo (maybe so it looks nice for a customer delivery) I recommend bumping the revision. Revision letters are free. Confusion can be very expensive.
