Hi
I just read your post and do not understand the concept of "Grandfathering".
Please explain.
Thanks
Welcome to the Cove, Gazielmd.
You can find a definition of 'grandfather'
here.
Essentially it is a term used in the training process to indicate that employees, who have been doing a task or activity for a period of time, will be considered "trained" on the task or activity and will not need receive more training. However, should the documentation or process associated with the task or activity change, then training will be required.
Organizations may opt to do this 'grandfathering' as a way to show that training needs have been identified but would prefer to spend their resources in other, more value-added activities, than training their staff on items already well known.
