ok guys, on reflection maybe I am having a rproblem because the argument is too thin,
can anyone suggest a topic i write a paper on?
As i said We dont have iso but i am studying it and have to be prepared for any eventuality.
All i have to go on is that it must be quality related and have an argument for and against and preferably not a whole ISO for and against - just as I said - i am only 4 months into the course and need guidance,

Welcome. I would use health care as an example to illustrate the good, bad and ugly of documentation practice because I had tried to convince a local NGO to start implementing this good practice before.
Good documentation – files and record readily available, perception of good service, good care of patient records, facilitate taking over of case by another doctor, specialists etc, provides good record of diagnosis, medication, etc and is perhaps the only record available when things cropped up.
Bad documentation practice – need to search for files or record, incomplete or messy record and patient history and is potential for wrong diagnosis or medication, does not give a good image to the organization providing the service, record does not add much value to patients medical history.
Ugly – the National Health Care (UK) had a fair share or hair raising stories that you should be more familiar than us. Wrong medication, right medication but given to wrong patient, operating on wrong patient, operating on wrong part (left hand instead of right hand) – of course these are the extremes.
The value of a good record crops up when claims arise. Records go a long way to show and prove that due care had been exercise and the rationale and logic why certain diagnosis had been made.
