I'm preparing ISO document for ISO9000:2008 certification.

1. 6.2 Human Resources: Looks only training is mentioned in this clause. However human resources also cover other things like benefit handling (health insurance, 401K). Are these procedures covered by ISO9000:2008? Should they be documented?

2. 6.3 Infrastructure and 6.4 Work place: What kind document should be prepared for these two clauses? examples?.....

I request you to come out of this notion that you must create several ISO documents for every ISO9001:2008 standard's requirements...

NO, They are not necessary within the requirements of the standard.
You are required to maintain appropriate records of education, training, skills and experience. The rest what is mentioned in the standard is for you to perform accordingly by planning, executing, verifying and correcting continually.

2. 6.3 Infrastructure and 6.4 Work place: What kind document should be prepared for these two clauses? examples?.....
You are required to determine, provide and maintain what is appropriate for your business requirements to be properly operating. If documenting helps you, you may, and you may control this document too.
Your typical document can have a list of your utilities, equipment and support services that you wish to maintain and the frequency and means of maintaining them.
The note under 6.4 in the standard is so much a useful tip.

Hi Stephen,

While training is definitely included in 6.2 there are additional requirements.

6.2.2 Competence, training and awareness.
You have to determine the competence necessary, ensure that the personnel are aware of their impact on meeting quality objectives and train if necessary. 6.2 also provides the requirement to maintain appropriate records.

There is not a requirement in ISO 9001 that a documented procedure for this must exist. That said, you may find that you want to document your procedure for this. While not specifically stating that you must document your training procedure, ISO 9001 does state in 4.2 :

4.2.1 General
The quality management system documentation shall include
a) documented statements of a quality policy and quality objectives,
b) a quality manual,
c) documented procedures and records required by this International Standard, and
d) documents, including records, determined by the organization to be necessary to ensure the effective planning, operation and control of its processes.

It is up to you whether or not you find that it is necessary to document your training procedure.

2. 6.3 Infrastructure and 6.4 Work place: What kind document should be prepared for these two clauses? examples?.....
This would also be up to you as to whether you want to document it or not. Facility management, Maintenance, IT, etc. would be possibilities that you could look at.

Remember, you do not have to have a documented procedure for every clause of the standard.

Also remember that you are preparing all documents for your company, not for ISO 9001. These documents you create should be beneficial to your company and they should be created because your company needs them, not because you are trying to create a document for ISO 9001.

As has been mentioned on these forums numerous times, a company that is not certified to ISO 9001 and engages in good business practices will "unknowingly" meet most, if not all, of the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard.
