Why did your Lead Auditor say it is outdated? What do they mean by outdated?
because my lead auditor says "it's 7 years late, and still in use, that document is outdated" out of date sir, and she call that out, and telling us that the document is not updated by means that the work instruction was last revised year 2013.

So where in your procedures does it state how often a document must be revised? I'm struggling to see the issue.
No, there's none in our procedure, she just said that's in the ISO Standard, that if it's Outdated it's a findings, and i told her like what? same here im struggling to see the issue, that's why i came to this site to seek some answers, because i can't seem to comprehend in what she said about that outdated docs.

If the document you are using is still accurate and there is not a superseded version I cannot see how it is outdated.

What clause in which ISO standard is your Lead Auditor referencing?

Thank you sir for your concern, nope i don't really mind, because i can't seem to find that i should really update my work instruction if the process were still the same, outdated sir out of date, the work instruction was revised last 2013 but still in use up to today, but my Lead Auditor call it out, because it is said to be outdated, and the document is accurate, yes it is included in the procedure that the documents need to review periodically, but does not mean to revise it, and it doesn't include there, i just can't find the right words in the standard that the documents should be updated. If the work instruction dated in 2013 but still accurate about the process itself, why does my team leader call it out as a Findings. I just can't comprehend sir, i was thought by our SGS trainer that the audit is to find compliance not the opposite, the non compliance itself will come out once the process to complying doesn't match right sir?
You said that " that it is included in the procedure that the documents need to review periodically", we also have the same statement in our Document control procedure, so what we did was in the revision history it reflects the statement REVIEWED and No change. The revision stays the same and reflects the date when it was reviewed. Our objective it to ensure that the document that their using is still valid and align with their current process.

ISO 9001 : 2015 clause 7.5.2
7.5.2 says you "shall ensure appropriate review and approval for suitability and adequacy". If nothing has changed in the process why would you review the work instruction?

Does the work instruction work as intended? Is there any specific reason (customer complaints, need for improvement, machine changes, plant move, etc) that would constitute an appropriate review?

- That too was my point sir, but she still insists it, it should be updated.

- no, no other concerns about the work instruction, it's just that it isn't updated, said by my Lead Auditor. And im like that in my profile picture, a sad potato
