Hi all,
We had our AS9100 Rev C uplift in April this year. We received a handful on minor non-conformances which were quickly rectified and closed out.
Last October the previous Quality Manager left at short notice, then from December to April we had a retired, part-time Quality Manager who basically set up a complete new system to Rev C standard in a short space of time but did an excellent job of it.
I started as Quality Manager towards the end of March and have since kept up the standard of the QMS.
Due to the changes in Quality Manager within the few months prior to the audit, our auditor recommended a further audit in August/September this year which wasn't completely agreed at the time of the audit but he has written it into his report.
We are a small engineering firm, currently going through a tough time financially. I wasn't impressed with the auditor in the first place and have been looking for alternate certification bodies prior to our next required audit in March 2013. The initial auditor is now chasing up stating that he wants to come back as soon as possible for a two day audit. I would have no qualms against allowing anyone to come and audit my system however we have just undergone a quite in-depth audit from a big player in the Aerospace industry in order to get their approval for upcoming work. The recommended audit from ISOQAR would cost the company an unneccessary £2k+ and I feel the auditor is just trying to fill his pockets now Rev C has dried up.
What are the implications if I refuse the audit? Is it possible for the auditor to revoke our approval at all?
Any help/advice would be most welcome,
Thanks in advance!
