Most sources I've seen say 40-50 years when archived under ideal conditions, but in practice it's usually considerably less than that. Diazo film should be used for "working" copies of silver halide archives; A good silver halide microfilm have much longer life expectancies but are more expensive to produce, thus many make relatively inexpensive diazo copies of silver halide "originals" for everyday use.
