Can I get a copy of the sample plan?
This is my first activity with the forum, so I'm not sure I'm doing this correctly.

32BAD45,
Just so happens that I'm heading up a group prepping for a DPD/MBD audit from the very same customer. We have pretty much completed our flow charts and are currently in the process of recommending which SOPs and WIs we will need to meet their requirements. If your example contains more than the customers recommended task guide and related standard that they left with us, I would be very appreciative to see it!
:thanx:

Much thanks!
I posted before I got to the end of the thread I was so excited!

Matt,
I just had a chance to review the example. It seems we aren't far off in our efforts, and having access to this will make passing a cinch! The other info the customer gave us as to their requirements tends to be slightly overwhelming, and this ties it all together. Thanks again!

Eric,

You're welcome. Let me know if there is any additional info you need.

I have another question regarding the sample procedure... Boeing states that it is desirable to have a procedure to meet the requirements of all customers, yet the sample (in para 6.1) specifies Boeing document D6-51991. Should we incorporate this document into our system as is or should we attempt to create a more generalized document so that the procedure is not so customer specfic (basically replacing "Boeing" with "the customer" everywhere used)?

Thanks so much for any help with this!

The sample procedure was given to me by a Boeing auditor, therefore it will address Boeing's concerns mostly. I believe the best way to proceed is to reference the DPD plans for the "big guys:"

  • Boeing D6-51991
  • Spirit Aerosystem MAA1-10009-1
  • Vought SQR-004
  • etc.

This way all bases are covered. You'll find there are similarities between all of these.
