ANAB received permission during the IAQG meeting last month in France to release the draft 9104/1 standard, which will eventually replace AS9104 and AS9014. ANAB will provide the draft standard via email.
The standard has passed ballot with comments, the comments have been vetted, and minimum revisions were made, so 9104/1 is expected to proceed to publication around January 2012.
The transition team is currently working on transition detail (SR002), including the timeline. As I learn more on the transition I will keep you posted. The team meets again in December. CBs can start to develop documentation to address the new requirements in preparation for the transition to 9104/1. ANAB will also be starting this process.
IAAR members, please note this is the same document provided by IAAR last week.
SR001 was recently revised and will be issued by 2011/11/08 by the OPMT. All OASIS users will be notified when it is available on OASIS.
The revisions are in regard to scheduling the transition audits. CBs are required to complete a matrix to update their AB and the IAQG on the progress of scheduling transition audits. CBs are required to schedule and confirm all transition audits by 2012/01/04. There are new consequences if a CB does not complete the matrix and/or if an organization does not cooperate in scheduling its audit. Please make sure you watch for the announcement and review the changes ASAP. The first matrix is due from the CB to the AB on 2011/12/01!
