Drawing Approvals vs. Engineering Order Approvals

I am trying to standardize these processes since they occur hand in hand. A drawing is ready for approval so an EO is generated, then both documents follow a signature approval cycle.

My questions are, should these two process (i.e. drawing approval and engineering order approval) be treated differently?

And should they have a different set of approvals?

:thanks:

The drawing review can be a part of the release (EO) process, so drawing review is usually sort of a sub-process.

Re: Drawing Approvals vs. Engineering Order Approvals- ???

Having a drawing approval and an EO approval is redundant. I would get rid of the drawing approval (and the signature blocks on the drawingif you have them) and combine the approval process into the EO approval.
