Our supplier makes a plastic part using Dupont Delrin 100P. The chemical sheet they supplied is the Product information sheet provided from Dupont. The product Information sheet verifies it as Delrin 100P and says that the data falls with-in normal range of the product properties. It also gives many mechanicle properities.
My question is, does this pass as a material certification?
Should I require my supplier to provide outside testing to verify?
It says right on it that "Product certification obtained from an unauthorized sources is considered counterfit." So would there be any value to send it to an outside lab if a customer requested such a test??
Because my customer is not liking this product information sheet.
