Hi all! I am currently looking for an eco implementation checklist/work instruction for use in a job shop type of enviroment where the changes we are implementing are customer driven. This affects many areas production, programming, inventory, purchasing, quality control, document control. I was just hoping to find a nice template or generic starting point rather than starting from scratch. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions!

Engineering Dept/Design Dept./Drg.Office is/are responsible for controlling drgs.and specifications and to fix a controlled copy stamp on the documents. They are also responsible to issue revised documents and withdraw obsolete documents. If you are a small set up the same function may be carried out by any designated person. But the function shall be performed without fail.

Can you cite an authority for your "shall" and for your statement as to who is responsible for putting "controlled copy" stamp on documents?

To my knowledge, there is NO STANDARD requiring the term "controlled copy" be applied to any document. If you have a citation, may we know it, please?

I disagree with Brahmaiah's statrement because there is no cookie-cutter answer to this situation. The responsibilities and authorities for controlling drawings vary from organization to organization and are not always assigned to Engineering. The methods for reviewing and controlling documents also vary from organization to organziation. However the activities must be performed in compliance with the requirements of the applicable standard(s), established processes and/or documented procedures.
