Hello,
I researched the regulation norms/standards and would love some feedback regarding my current evaluation regarding flammability requirements.
This is about a product (plastic housing) which can sense if a person is in bed or out, and give this information to nurse calling system.
- Product is not medical device or a accessory by MDR
- It is more a detecting system and therefore I took the 62368-1 to check regulations
- Low voltage/energy device (less than1W and under 0.1A)
- Is mounted on bed frame
Since it falls in my opinion under 62368-1 it needs at least Glow-wire-test (550°C), HB75 or HB40 for the housing to comply with regulations.
Regarding electronics with that low energy usage, there would be not much risk that fire might start from within, therefore no special requirements needed.
Looking forward to your feedback and thanks in advance
