Marc,

I was curious if you've considered sprucing up the forum graphics, banners, icons and such. My brother does some terrific work on web graphics, typically as a side job or for friends, I'm not volunteering him (he's usually busy) just using his work as an example, but I'm sure there is equivalent talent on this site. I know, I for one enjoy working with photoshop just as a hobbiest but I find I don't have the time or natural talent such as my brother does else I'd make an attempt myself. Anyhow, it was an idea that occurred to me after my brother showed me some of his work, which was impressive and it never hurts to make something good better.

As long as I can get such a vast amount of information, from such a knowledgeable group, I will be back every day even if it is done in DOS format

Jim, I agree. Since I am at the top of the totem pole in my company I have no one to go to when I have a question or problem. In the week that I have been cruising this site, I have solved more problems than in the last 6 months.

I'm more into Fireworks for graphics myself. I've rarely used Photoshop.

I have and do consider the site layout and graphics. I have to admit I don't see myself as a great web site designer. But - Over the years I've enjoyed making the site 'my' site rather than something canned.

The major graphics are old, but to me they've been the 'identifier' of the site, if you catch my drift. The old 'light house and lightning' graphics are from around 1995. They're very low resolution but that the way it was back then - Fine for the application. These days I see the old 'light house and lightning' graphic as the 'logo' here.

At one point a number of people here did do some graphics suggestions, actually. But it was mostly in regard to Cove T-Shirts - What do you think?. There's a graphic I really like.

But anyway, back to the site. Right now the forums are a bit 'loud'. Google Adsense revenue is way down and I've been playing with the layout a bit and trying out some Yahoo ads.

On the other hand, I want to stay away from too much 'sophistication'. Sometimes a text link does the job, as on the site landing page, especially when it comes to search engines.

I appreciate any specific suggestions, however.

Just as long as the site keeps a business type look: It may get awkward to use it at work if it looks too "flashy"...

Nope - No flashy graphics or anything. I don't anticipate major changes.
