True I used the term manager not management in my post. What you call a manager of a process is up to the company but in the ISO 9001 standard I have never been able to find the term “employee”, “lead” or “supervisor’ attached to a shall requirement aimed at those who manage the business, hence my use here.
Process owners should, in my book, be involved in the process of approving a work instruction or procedure along with those individuals the organization has designated the manager of the process, function or area. Someone with the authority must approve the document.
