Hi all,

We have products that are covered by EN 301 489-1 and EN 301 489-17. What version of these standards do we need to comply to?

EMC directive harmonized standards covered on https://ec.europa.eu generated on 18.05.2020 specifies EN 301 489-1 V1.9.2 with no mention of EN 301 489-17 standard.

Official Journal released on 21 April 2020 does not cover EN 301 489-1/-17. Our certification body suggested that in case where recent Official Journal does not specify any version, compliance to latest published version is expected.
Published version of other ETSI standards of En 300 328, EN 301 893 can be found at https://www.etsi.org/standards-search1 but this site does not confirm the published version of EN 301 489-1 and EN 301 489-17. So where do we get the information of the published version of EN 301 489-1 and EN 301 489-17 standards.

Thank you in advance!

You can find current status of all ETSI radio and EMC standards on the Work Program Page

For example Details of 'REN/ERM-EMC-368' Work Item Schedule for EN 301 489-1 v2.2.3

Under the radio equipment directive, no particular version in mandatory, however the most recently published version could be considered to be "state of the art" and therefore is the best choice

If your certification body is for RED, you aren't required to have them review you article 3.1(a) or 3.1(b) compliance if you don't want them to whilst assessing article 3.2
