Hello,
I'm looking to test some harness prototypes to an EN standard just to guage if they meet them. The harnesses are a sit harness, primarily to be used for mountaineering, fall arrest, and rescue.
There are a few EN standards that appear to apply to these products, however I'm not quite sure if any of them supersede the others or are seen as more recognized or common in the industry. The standards are:
EN 813 Sit Harnesses
EN 12277 Mountaineering equipment - Harnesses - Safety requirements and test methods
EN 1497 Personal fall protection equipment - Rescue harnesses
Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
