As usual, you're quite right, Sid. Auditors are sometimes not well trained and this may deserve a NCR on this CB.

At my company we have been lucky with our external auditors, but even they will write up nonsensical NCRs once in a while. We are in a long-term relationship and we give them slack. Wild pitches can usually be resolved in about 5 minutes, either before or after writeup. And if we can get some improvement out of it, we are still better off.
