i would like to ask for your assistance on how to establish item codes for production raw materials... hope to receive positive response, it's been a headache for us... tnx

Can you tell us why you need the item codes or what is the purpose of the codes and how many items of raw materials are you talking about.

We are currently organizing our system for IMS, one of the major requirements is using item codes for materials traceability and cost accounting. We only have about a hundred materials but each material dimension varies per model with different costs. For a year, we have at most 50 new models. We have to generate item codes that will distinguish each material from the other. Please give me some idea how we can come up with an effective item coding.
