Hello!
I would like to ask for your help with process capability in Excel 2003. I would like to create a capability study sheet.
My company has no Minitab and only an Excel 2003. I never was good at statistics and at my last job I used Minitab for conducting a process capability analysis so I never really calculated any process capability indexes ever. And to be honest my Excel skills are not on the top either.
So I would like to create a very simple spreadsheet as a form to use during initial process studies.
n=125 and I have some characteristics that unilateral (for example retention forces) and some are bilateral (mostly dimensions).
I would like to have a template which calculates the same things that minitab does, and all I need to do is later that to change the specification and the measured data. A histogram would be nice too.
What I got so far is not good. (see the attachement) Since I do not really know how to calculate sigma and what constants do I need to use ( I finished the uni many years ago and since then I did not use anything else just Minitab which is easy but not very educating
)
Could you check please what I made wrong and give me some advice?

and just vow...it really-really looks very nice. On the weekend I will go trough every equation and try to understand it
, since my company is a bit behind the world average on the software front. And I think I need to take an excel course too - I am OK with bare basics but the more advance stuff is not for me. I already have some training material on it
