Marc and others,
I propose restating the verbage under the 17025 bolded to specifically include ISO Guide 65, ISO/IEC 17011 (successor to Guide 58), and ISO/IEC 17020. This could mean deleting the verbage of the 17025 Standard title to include the suggested Standards, but an easy thing to live with.
I realize there may not currently be conversations on this right now.....but then the folks involved on those Standards do not currently see a venue for questions on the Standards. Even if the changes are OK with all here, it may still take time to see questions on these Standards.
Just a side note on 17020.....there are now TWO ABs that offer 17020 accreditation in the U.S......IAS (APLAC signatory for inspection) and A2LA (new program, not yet internationally recognized), and so the number of folks involved may well increase over time.
