We have an external audit coming up in June at four of our locations that will cover our QMS support processes, production operations, and purchasing. However, I am unsure who precisely I really need to send notification for awareness of the upcoming audit and plans. I know there are a lot of people that can be informed, but I want to focus on the vital few instead of the trivial many, so who really needs to be informed via email in this case?

With trepidation I'll just say tell anyone and everyone you want, in the end the 3rd party probably doesn't care, doesn't really need to care and it's probably not their business anyway who you tell, unless there's a specific requirement for them to. (Those requirements do exist here and there)
