Can multiple back to back Customer based TS 16949 Audits count toward internal audit requirements?
Unless the customer is doing a formal, second party full audit, following the TS annual audit tables, as part of their supplier development on your behalf, it would be hard to demonstyrate that it meets the requirements. TS FAQs address this to some degree, and set down some pretty high guidelines that have to be met. The process must be planned to your processes, controlled by your management, etc. etc., for it to pass muster as your entire internal audit program. As an auditor, I might accept it as part of your program, if certain conditions are met, but unlikely it would meet the whole thing.
