Hello,
We need help, I need to find someone who can write both manuals for us?
Our manuals were rejected today!
I am running out of time, anyone recommends or advise any person or company that can write them?

It's best to do it yourself rather than to hire someone to try and document what you do. ARSA (www.arsa.org) offers a model RSM and QSM that you could use as a starting point to ensure that you cover all the regulatory requirements. I have heard that it's pretty comprehensive and that many FSDO's like the format. FWIW.

Oh, and I have no affiliation with ARSA whatsoever.

ARSA’s Model Repair Station and Quality Manual ("model manual") was completely revised to help companies develop a repair station and quality control manual that complies with Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) part 145 and the associated Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) guidance material.

The new and improved model manual addresses every paragraph of 14 CFR part 145. It contains the requirements for both a repair station manual and a quality control manual and can be customized to the particular operation with approximately 20 to 40 hours of work.

This publication is geared towards small to mid-sized companies and will prove most useful to component repair stations. Although directed at domestic repair stations, very few adjustments would be needed to show compliance with foreign repair station requirements.....................

I agreed with Badgerman, try your best to write it yourself otherwise you could end up stuck following procedures that don't fit your business model.

Make sure you keep in contact with the FAA and ask for advise when needed, in my experience they are willing to help, it's in their interest for you to comply with the requirements. Expect the manual to be reworked several times also before it's accepted, and probably a few times after as your Principal Inspector changes, as they all seem to have their own ideas on what is acceptable.

Don't try and copy someone elses RSM and QCM either, what was acceptable doesn't seem to be the case for a new applicant.

Stick with it, it will pass with work, and I found that writing the RSM and the QCM really were the hardest part of getting approved. Good luck.
