I have a question that needs confirmation. Would a Identification process be held as being a "Special Process" as normally known for Chemical Conversion, Passivation, Paint, etc?
"a) Special Process Suppliers
Supplier and sub-tier suppliers shall attain and maintain special process accreditation through Nadcap for thermal processes (e.g., heat treating), anodizing, chemical film, passivation, non-destructive test processes, and welding/brazing, where such processes are required by..." the aerospace company putting out this set of requirements.
So this company has their own definition for what is 'special'.
