Fatigue and Load Test on Orthopaedic Joints - Stems

we would like to do fatigue and load tests on orthopaedic joints ie stems

please let me know the relevant astm standards and names of test houses who would perform these tests.

any published literature on the maximum load a stem can take

I could not find an specific reference but you may want to try a search on the AAMI web site: http://www.aami.org/applications/search/results.cfm

...or contact AAMI for further direction. They are more into medical device standards than ASTM.
