On Wednesday, July 22, 2009, public health experts joined FDA Principal Deputy Commissioner Joshua Sharfstein, M.D., and Matthew McKenna, M.D., Director of the Office of Smoking and Health for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to discuss the potential health risks associated with electronic cigarettes, also known as "e-cigarettes." Read HERE to learn more about the agency's concerns about these products.

Interesting! This is the first time I have come across "e-cigarettes"

As a former (quit cold turkey June 23, 1980) world class smoker (4 packs a day, 100 cigars a month, 5 pounds of pipe tobacco a year, and 10 or 12 packs of chewing tobacco per year [for those "smoke free" environments]), I can't imagine a sillier method of poisoning one's body with nicotine. I certainly poisoned my body with nicotine, but can you imagine going up to someone and instead of bumming a light for your cigarette, saying, "Hey, buddy! Got a battery charge for my e-cigarette?":eek:

Regulation Requirements for E-Cigarettes - FDA US - CE ISO EU

With the new FDA regulations to control tobacco products, does anyone know what the regulations (eg GMP, QS) one needs to comply with for the manufacturing of e-cigarettes are to satisfy US and EU?
