I ordered a Flic barcode scanner. It is very handy. Can anyone here advise me as to what program is best used to collect data within the microsoft office suite. Excel is interesting.

Is there somthing outside of Office?

Help please. :thanx:

You should be able to use MS Access to import your stuff into relational database tables. Excel is likely an option too.

From the Flic Website:

Flicware software is the included software wedge that quickly and easily turns any Windows® program into a bar code application in minutes. With Flicware software, the bar code data your Flic Tethered/Batch scanner reads is received through the serial or USB port of your computer and sent immediately as keystrokes to the active window on your desktop. This means the information you scan enters the program just as if you typed it at the keyboard. Scan data directly into spreadsheets, databases or custom programs.
