Hi,

I have NOT understood your question fully. Please ignore if this is not what you wanted. For designing of products with specific focus on their environmental performance you may use the LCA methodology. If you do not want to spend too much time on LCA, please check if your product (i.e. what is being designed) is better than the existing product in terms of (a) mass, (b) energy consumption - throughout the lifecycle, (c) presence of toxic substances, (d) Recyclability and (e) packaging mass / material.
