Hi all,
I hope this is the correct place to post this.
I need to purchase a standard flow meter to measure the output of a new respiratory device. Output will be 0-10LPM of 21-100% oxygen mixture.
In order to overcome the problem of calibrating for a variable mixture, I am planning to order a unit calibrated with N2 and manually adjust the data with a mixed gas correction factor.
I am aware that meters exist which can handle variable composition (AliCat has some), but these are prohibitively expensive for our small company.
Also: We are using this meter for R&D purposes and are unsure of whether or not we need to maintain the NIST traceable calibration (with regular recalibrations). We have implemented ISO 13485 processes and some the devices we are currently designing will be CE marked. Further, we are located in Vietnam, so the third party options are few and far between (basically one option I've located so far).
Any advice or assistance appreciated.
Thanks!
